Job summary

Port24 is seeking dedicated truck drivers to operate our fleet across designated routes from Elizabeth, NJ. A valid CDL Class A is required, with Hazmat endorsement preferred. You will transport freight safely, perform inspections, and communicate with dispatch to maintain schedules.

This full-time, in-person role offers hourly pay of $24–$26, with opportunities to work with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license with at least 2 years of experience.
• Experience with route driving and freight handling.
• Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds and tractor-trailers.
• Ability to operate manual transmission.
• Elizabeth, NJ (07201) in-person work location.

Responsibilities

• Execute route driving responsibilities, ensuring timely delivery of freight.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and trailer inspections for safety and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, including hours of service logs and maintenance records.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding schedules and transport issues.
