Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver for local home daily shuttle runs in Tanner, AL. The role offers weekly pay, benefits after 30 days, and opportunities for overtime with a safety-first culture.

You will handle steel freight on local routes from Tanner, AL to Morristown, TN, with paid training and a comprehensive benefits package including PTO from day 1 and a 401(k) plan. Start time is 2:00 AM, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years within the last 5 years, OR 5 years within the last 10 years.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Pass a Ryder drug test and a Ryder background and motor vehicle check with drug/alcohol verification from previous employers (last 3 years).
• Pass a DOT physical and a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and Ryder policies.
• Load/unload freight or assist with loading/unloading as required by customer.
• Perform duties as assigned and maintain safe driving practices.
