Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver to operate from the Buffalo rail yards with daily home time and evening start windows. Expect about 1,750 miles per week and potential overnights due to freight or weather, with paid loads and additional pay opportunities.

The role pays $77,000-$90,000 per year, and the schedule is Monday–Friday with home daily under normal conditions. Hazmat endorsement is required within 60 days after orientation.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Hazmat endorsement required within 60 days after orientation.
• DOT Medical Card is required.
• Clean driving record with no SAP drivers.
• Hazmat testing and endorsement costs may be reimbursed with receipts.
• Ability to work evening shifts and occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Operate local intermodal routes from Buffalo-area rail yards.
• Average about 1,750 miles per week.
• Occasional overnight stays may be required.
• Trucks cannot be taken home during time off.
