Job summary

Guardian Fleet Services is seeking a dedicated CDL‑A Driver to operate tractor‑trailer equipment around the Austin, TX area. This role runs Monday through Friday with occasional Saturday work; drivers report at the customer’s yard and receive daily dispatch from the customer’s team.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A with a clean driving record.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in equipment hauling, specialized transport, or lowboy operations.
• Proficiency with advanced load securement techniques and rigging equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate haul trucks to transport our customers’ equipment safely.
• Load, secure, and unload machinery, industrial components, and other specialized cargo using chains, binders, straps, and blocking.
• Conduct pre‑trip, in‑route, and post‑trip inspections of truck, trailer, and securement equipment.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, escort vehicles, customers, and job‑site personnel.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, state, and local regulations, including weight limits and securement standards.
• Maintain logs, permits, and load documentation; report mechanical issues and perform minor troubleshooting.
