Job summary

CrossCountry Freight Solutions Inc in Hays, KS is seeking a CDL A Local Driver to join our team. You will operate company vehicles to transfer freight safely and on schedule, delivering to customer locations and terminals.

This non-exempt role requires a valid Class A CDL, 21+ years old, 1 year driving experience, and Hazmat/Tanker endorsements or willingness to obtain them. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections and complete required paperwork.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• At least 21 years of age.
• 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or willingness to obtain, renewals reimbursable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Delivers and/or picks up freight to/from customer locations and/or a terminal as instructed by dispatch or the immediate supervisor.
• Ensures all shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and appropriate paperwork accompanies the shipment to the delivery point.
• Loads and/or unloads a wide variety of freight onto and off a company motor vehicle, with or without mechanical assistance depending on freight size.
