Job summary

Meijer is seeking qualified Class A CDL drivers for its private fleet, with home daily local routes and year-round full-time work. You will deliver freight from Meijer distribution centers to stores on schedule, handle backhauls, and perform yard movements while complying with DOT and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A license.
• Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain one.
• Minimum one year of truck driving experience or successful completion of an accredited CDL training program.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, road test, and pre-employment drug screen.
• No moving violations within the last year.
• No more than two moving violations within the last three years.
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles.
• Deliver freight from Meijer distribution centers to stores on schedule.
• Transport vendor backhauls to distribution centers.
• Perform yard switching and trailer movements as needed.
• Follow all DOT, company, and safety regulations.
• Represent Meijer with professionalism and a customer-first mindset.
