Job summary

Meijer is seeking a driver for its private fleet in Michigan. This full-time role features local routes with home daily, day/night/weekend/holiday schedules based on business needs. You will operate Class A vehicles, deliver to stores on time, and handle vendor backhauls while upholding safety and professionalism.

Eligible candidates are 21+, hold a CDL-A, and can obtain hazmat endorsement. A DOT physical, road test, and drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain one.
• One year of truck driving experience or completion of an accredited CDL training program.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, road test, and pre-employment drug screen.
• No moving violations within the last year and no more than two in the last three years.
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles.
• Deliver freight from Meijer distribution centers to stores on schedule.
• Transport vendor backhauls to distribution centers.
• Perform yard switching and trailer movements as needed.
• Follow all DOT, company, and safety regulations.
• Represent Meijer with professionalism and a customer-first mindset.
