Job summary

ABF Freight in Grand Island, Nebraska is seeking a CDL-A driver for local pickup and delivery near the distribution center. You will load and unload trailers using established dock techniques and adapt to schedule variations by terminal.

Position is hourly with weekly pay; candidates must meet DOT requirements, hold the proper endorsements, and be at least 21 years old. Endorsements for tanker/hazmat are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Must pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and meet DOT medical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Pickup and delivery of cargo within proximity of the consolidation/distribution center.
• Loading and unloading of trailers using standard dock procedures.
• Duties may vary by terminal location.

Requirements

Experience

• 1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience (Candidates with less than 1 year experience may be eligible for training).

Certifications

• Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker and hazardous materials endorsements

Additional Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Good stable work record.
• Safe driving record (from MVR and previous employment).
• Be able to pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and meet DOT medical requirements.
• Shift days and hours required for this position vary by location and may include days, nights, and/or weekends. Being able to work the required hours at this location will be considered a minimum requirement.
