CDL-A Local Driver / Forklift Operator, Full-time

Job Overview

Pickup and delivery of cargo to and from various destinations, usually within proximity of the consolidation/distribution center. Loading and unloading of trailers using techniques, technology, and procedures similar to a dock worker. Actual duties and schedule may vary depending on terminal location.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload cargo.
• Perform tasks such as check-in, tractor/trailer inspection, tractor setup, and cargo pickup and delivery.
• Exercise independent judgment in trailer building and teardown to optimize time, resources, energy, and physical demands, while complying with weight laws.
• Operate a forklift as needed.
• Complete routine paperwork and log loading sheets properly.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED.
• 1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience (training available for less than 1 year).
• Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker, and hazardous materials endorsements with no restrictions on automatic transmission.

Additional Requirements

• Minimum 21 years old.
• Good and stable work history.
• Safe driving record from MVR and previous employment.
• Ability to pass DOT pre-employment drug screening and meet DOT medical standards.
• Shift hours vary by location, including days, nights, and weekends; flexibility required.
