CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver - Career Growth

CDL A Drivers can earn up to $105K annually
Hourly rate: $24.25/hour plus incentives and overtime pay
Home every night, local routes.

Job Profile Summary

Drivers run daily routes with frequent stops, loading packages onto hand trucks and unloading at each stop in the order designated by the Transportation Department Manager. Operate within a cross-dock model, picking up loaded trucks from nightly deliveries and returning empty trucks to the lot. May assist with loading trucks, palletizing products, and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Manage major programs and projects with technical, customer relations, and personnel oversight.
• Efficiently run routes, meeting or exceeding designated times.
• Unload products from trailers and place them in designated storage areas, often in various weather conditions.
• Lift, push, or move products weighing 1-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds, frequently reaching up to 72 inches for stacking pallets.
• Verify deliveries with customers, obtain signatures, and communicate discrepancies or errors.
• Report undelivered items and handle customer complaints professionally.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections following DOT regulations and company policies.

Minimum Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening.
• Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Capable of lifting, pushing, or moving products weighing 40-60 pounds, up to 100 pounds repeatedly.
• Flexible with overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of customer delivery experience preferred.
• Six months of hand truck experience preferred.
• Six months of Food and Beverage industry experience preferred.
• Two years of consistent work history preferred.
