CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver - Paid Training

CDL A Drivers can earn up to $105K annually
Hourly rate: $24.25/hour plus incentive and overtime pay
Drivers are home every night, routes are local.

Job Profile Summary

All drivers run daily routes with frequent stops, loading packages onto hand trucks and unloading at each stop in the order designated by the Transportation Department Manager. The role involves operating within a cross-dock model, picking up loaded trucks from nightly deliveries, and returning empties to the lot. Assistance with loading trucks, palletizing, and other duties may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
• Run routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated times.
• Unload products from trailers, using hands or carts, and place in customer storage areas, sometimes in all weather conditions.
• Lift, push, or move products weighing 1-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds, frequently reaching up to 72" for stacking and unstacking pallets.
• Verify deliveries with customers, obtain signatures, and communicate discrepancies or errors.
• Report any incomplete deliveries (shorts).
• Handle customer complaints professionally.
• Operate company equipment properly, follow safety rules, and perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations and company policies.

Minimum Qualifications

• 21+ years of age.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screening required.
• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to lift, push, or move products weighing 40-60 pounds, up to 100 pounds repeatedly.
• Flexibility for overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of customer delivery experience preferred.
• 6 months of hand truck/hand cart experience preferred.
• 6 months of Food and Beverage experience preferred.
• 2 years of consistent work history preferred.
