Job Profile Summary

All drivers run daily routes with frequent stops and are required to load packages onto hand trucks and unload product at each stop on the assigned route as designated by the Transportation Department Manager. The candidate will operate successfully in a cross-dock model, picking up a loaded truck from a nightly delivery at the assigned loading dock and returning the empty truck to the lot at the end of the route. May be required to assist with loading trucks, palletizing product, and other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.

Responsibilities

1. Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
2. Run routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times.
3. Unload product from trailer, by hand or using a hand cart, and place in designated customer storage areas, sometimes in all weather conditions.
4. Frequently lift, push, or move product weighing 1-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds; reach up to 72" to stack and unstack pallets and hand carts; bend and twist while loading/unloading and retrieving items.
5. Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain signatures; contact management for invoice discrepancies; communicate errors/returns.
6. Report if a customer does not receive their entire order (shorts).
7. Handle customer complaints professionally.
8. Operate company equipment properly, follow safety rules, and perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations and company policies.
9. Must be 21+ years old.
10. Undergo pre-employment background check and drug screening.
11. Hold a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
12. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
13. May need to lift, push, or move 40-60 pounds on average, up to 100 pounds repeatedly.
14. Be flexible for overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Requirements

1. 1 year of customer delivery experience preferred.
2. 6 months of hand cart/hand truck experience preferred.
3. 6 months of Food and Beverage experience preferred.
4. 2 years of consistent work history preferred.
