CDL A Local Delivery Truck Driver - "HIRING IMMEDIATELY"

Starting Pay: $23.50

Shift: 5:00 PM - 3:00 AM or until work is finished

Job Profile Summary

All drivers run daily routes with frequent stops, loading packages onto hand trucks and unloading at each stop as designated by the Transportation Department Manager. The candidate will operate successfully in a cross-dock model, managing trucks from nightly deliveries and returning them to the lot. Assistance with loading trucks, palletizing, and other duties may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
• Run routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated times.
• Unload product from trailers, using hands or carts, and place in designated areas, often in all weather conditions.
• Lift, push, or move product weighing 1-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds, frequently reaching up to 72" for stacking and unstacking pallets.
• Verify deliveries, obtain signatures, and communicate discrepancies or errors.
• Handle customer complaints professionally.
• Follow safety rules, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT and company policies.

Qualifications - Minimum Requirements

• 21+ years of age.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screening required.
• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to lift 40-60 pounds regularly, up to 100 pounds.
• Flexibility for overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Requirements

• 1 year of customer delivery experience preferred.
• 6 months of hand cart/truck experience preferred.
• 6 months of Food and Beverage experience preferred.
• 2 years of consistent work history preferred.
