Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is hiring a delivery professional in Bakersfield, CA. You will make 10–12 daily stops, handle freight, complete paperwork, and provide outstanding customer service. You will count and record delivered and picked up products and ensure DOT-compliant hazmat shipping papers.

You must have a high school diploma or GED with English proficiency, a valid Class A CDL (hazmat endorsement preferred or within 60 days), be 21+, and pass a DOT physical. Lift up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with English reading/writing proficiency.
• Two years of driving experience or truck driving school certification with valid Class A CDL.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Hazmat endorsement on CDL or obtainable within 60 days of hire.
• No preventable accidents, license suspensions, or moving violations in the last 2 years.
• No alcohol-related convictions in the last 10 years.
• Able to pass DOT physical and obtain medical certificate.
• Ability to lift at least 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers with 10–12 stops per day, handling freight, paperwork, and customer service.
• Accurately count and record quantities and styles of delivered and picked up products.
• Complete hazardous material shipping papers in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Identify need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance.
• Build relationships with internal and external customers to meet goals.
• Continuously learn how Linde's business operates to support growth.
