Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is hiring a Local Delivery Driver (CDL A) in Cape Girardeau, MO. You will deliver to customers, complete paperwork, and provide excellent service while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires a CDL A with hazmat endorsement (or ability to obtain within 60 days), 21+ years old, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; English reading and writing proficiency.
• Two years of consecutive driving experience or recent Truck Driving School certification with a valid Class A CDL.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Hazmat endorsement on CDL or obtain within 60 days of hire.
• No preventable accidents, license suspensions, or moving violations in the past two years.
• No alcohol-related convictions in the last ten years.
• Able to pass DOT physical and obtain medical certificate.
• Ability to push/pull/move/lift minimum 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers with an average of 10-12 stops per day, handling freight, paperwork, and customer service.
• Accurately count and record quantities and styles of delivered and picked up products.
• Complete hazardous material shipping papers per DOT regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Identify maintenance needs for timely vehicle repairs.
• Build relationships with internal and external customers to meet business goals.
• Continue to build knowledge of Linde’s operations to support growth.
