Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Local Delivery Driver in Mount Pleasant, MI. You will load, transport, and unload cylinders, maintain accurate delivery records, and adhere to safety standards.

A valid Class A CDL, Medical Card, and Hazmat endorsement (or willingness to obtain) are required, along with 21+ and ability to lift heavy loads. Starting pay is $29/hour with a Monday–Friday day shift and comprehensive benefits including 401(k) and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Valid Medical Examiner's Card.
• Hazmat Endorsement (or willing to obtain).
• Must have one year of Class A driving experience in the last five years with a clean driving record (or two at-fault accidents in last three years; or one conviction and one at-fault in last three years).
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to read MSDS.
• Ability to lift 25–75 lbs, up to 125+ lbs with assistance.
• Must be able to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; frequent bending.

Responsibilities

• Cylinder Handling: Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders to customer locations.
• Record Keeping: Log deliveries and pick-ups with customer signatures; manage empty/rejects.
• Safety and Compliance: Follow DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, OSHA and Airgas safety standards.
