Job summary

Airgas is seeking a Local Delivery Driver in LaPorte, TX to safely load, deliver, and unload compressed gas cylinders from a local branch. You will build relationships with customers while ensuring documentation is accurate and compliant.

The role requires a TX Class A CDL with Hazmat and Airbrake endorsements, with a willingness to work day shifts from Monday to Friday. Compensation includes $27 per hour, full benefits, and opportunities for ongoing training and advancement.

Qualifications

• Valid TX Class A CDL with Hazmat & Airbrake endorsements.
• Must live within commuting distance of LaPorte, TX.
• 1 year of CDL driving in last 5 years or recent trucking school completion.
• 21 years or older.
• Able to lift 25–75 lbs. and occasionally over 125 lbs with assistance.
• Able to obtain site certifications and forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders of compressed gas to customer locations.
• Record deliveries and pick-ups on load manifest; obtain customer signatures.
• Adhere to Airgas safety standards and government regulations (DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, OSHA).
• Provide warehouse/dock support as needed.
