Job summary

FHLB Des Moines is seeking a licensed tractor-trailer driver to move products from the warehouse to customer sites on long-haul routes. You will operate a 3-axle tractor with a 45'–48' trailer, review invoices, and ensure on-time deliveries while following DOT and company procedures.

Night and weekend work may be required; duties include loading/unloading, documenting DOT logs and inspections, maintaining food safety standards, and communicating clearly with customers and management to resolve

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1 year tractor-trailer driving experience preferred.
• Completion of a tractor-trailer driving school acceptable in lieu of diploma.
• Must have valid Class A CDL and be insurable to operate company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports product from the warehouse to customer locations per route and delivery specifications.
• Completes all required paperwork (DOT logs, inspections, maintenance reports, bill of ladings) accurately and timely.
• Adheres to food safety protocols and proper temperature controls during transport.
• Maintains communication with management regarding route, loading, or customer issues.
• Operates equipment including 3-axle tractor, 45–48 ft trailer, and onboard computer; performs loading/unloading as required.
• Exhibits regular attendance and willing to work overnight, weekends, and overtime if needed.
