Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc. is hiring a CDL A Company Driver in Houston, TX. The role involves operating commercial trucks, loading/unloading cargo, and maintaining DOT-compliant logs and records. You will interact with dispatch and customers to ensure on-time delivery and load safety.

Expect a Monday–Friday schedule, home daily, with 50-60 hours per week and benefits after 90 days. Prior rail experience is a plus, and a clean driving record is required.

Competenze

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Class A CDL is required.
• 6 months of verifiable driving experience in the last year.
• Clean driving record with proven safe-driving history.
• No DUI/OWI in the last 5 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
• No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.

Mansioni

• Operate commercial trucks safely and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
• Load and unload cargo as needed, ensuring proper securing of loads.
• Transport goods to assigned destinations within scheduled timeframes.
• Maintain logs of hours, driving time, and rest periods (DOT compliance).
• Communicate with dispatch regarding delays or route changes.
• Ensure delivery documentation is completed accurately (bills of lading, delivery receipts).
• Follow planned routes while adjusting for traffic or weather conditions.
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery sites.
