Job summary

Independent Rebuild Specialist is hiring a CDL-A Driver to transport Caterpillar engines and oversized freight across Colorado and North America. The role emphasizes safety, equipment care, and customer service while maintaining accurate DOT logs and paperwork.

You will load/unload using cranes and forklifts, perform inspections, and coordinate with dispatch and customers to meet tight schedules in a dynamic mining equipment environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• DOT Medical Card (Medical Certificate).
• Passport or ability to obtain one for international travel if required.
• Minimum 3 years of safe commercial driving with no major violations.
• Clean MVR and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Experience with heavy haul/oversized load and securing such freight.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and ELDs.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company-owned Class A tractors and trailers for engines and heavy freight.
• Transport freight within Colorado and across North America as required.
• Load, tarp, balance, and inspect loads for safe transport.
• Load/unload engines using cranes, forklifts, and approved equipment.
• Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report mechanical concerns.
• Maintain DOT logs, trip reports, and shipping paperwork.
• Coordinate with dispatch, management, customers, and shop personnel on pickups/deliveries.
• Provide shipment updates and handle delays professionally.
