Job summary

HOLT CAT is seeking a Haul Truck Driver to operate heavy day cab trucks and multi-axle trailers, delivering heavy machinery and equipment to branch stores and customer sites. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, accurate documentation, and customer satisfaction during loading, transport, and unloading.

Entry-level position with at least three years of experience or relevant knowledge; requires a Class A CDL and the ability to travel up to 100%.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of industrial engine, transportation, and safe driving procedures.
• Knowledge and understanding of Motor Carrier Safety Regulations/DOT guidelines.
• Demonstrates proficiency with current computer software, related hardware, and machine electronic systems.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.

Responsibilities

• Models and promotes safety and values-based leadership.
• Transports parts and equipment deliveries with promptness, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Secures cargo and ensures compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Completes DOT logs and daily inspection reports.
• Maintains clean, safe company vehicles and work areas.
• Processes rental agreements, check-out/in reports, receipts and permits as required.
• Ensures inventory readiness and safe operation of equipment during delivery and loading/unloading.
• Performs regular vehicle inspections and reports needed repairs.
