The role requires transporting, operating and maintaining heavy equipment used in clearing railroad derailments, with DOT compliance and on-call travel to multiple job sites. Candidates must hold a CDL-A with restrictions, a DOT medical card, and be comfortable with 24/7 availability, safety protocols, and exposure to outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A with no restrictions, manual endorsement, and DOT medical card required.
• Ability to operate heavy or specialized equipment including Sideboom, Track Loader, Excavator, Vac Truck and Grapple Truck.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, permits, and driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Transport, operate, and service heavy equipment used in clearing railroad derailments.
• Handle material including heavy steel chains, blocks and steel cables.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure proper PPE is used.
• Safely drive, operate, and maintain CDL-A required vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain and set up equipment with cutting torch and welding tools as needed.
• Perform digging, hammering and other physical tasks with various tools.
• Follow DOT regulations and driving permits.
• Communicate with team and supervisor throughout the job process.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
