Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Kapolei, HI — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

This role features a 40+ hour workweek, pay $23 per hour and $920 per week, plus paid training and a Monday–Friday schedule with weekends as needed.

You will shuttle equipment between Ryder customer facilities, with no-touch freight and safety-focused operations, backed by robust company support.

Qualifications

• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
• Minimum 9 months experience in past 3 years, or 2 years in last 5 years, or 5 years in last 10 years.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a commercial vehicle and comply with safety and DOT regulations.
• Perform and maintain accurate logs and records as required.
• Support shuttle movements between Ryder facilities and assist with equipment transfers.

• Route: Shuttle Equipment between Ryder Customer Facilities
• Freight:No Touch - Empty Trailers for Equipment Shuttle Transfer Movement
• Transferring rental equipment/ delivering trucks to customers, parts (straight trucks, vans, day cabs, sleepers, cabovers, etc.. based on what needs to be transferred)
• Parts Pick Up

Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and Company Drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a commercial vehicle and requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
