Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Transfer Truck Driver in Wichita, KS. Local daily home time, Monday–Friday schedule, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits after 30 days.

Positions include 24/7 roadside maintenance support, 800+ maintenance facilities, and opportunities for growth as a Company Driver. Room for advancement and safety-focused culture are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle (9 months in last 3 years, 2 years in last 5, or 5 years in last 10).
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a commercial vehicle and comply with safety & DOT regulations.
• Route shuttle between Ryder facilities; no touch freight.
• Maintain logs and records; support safety and customer service.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $20.00 Per Hour
• Home Time: Local - Home Daily
• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800+ Maintenance Facilities

• Freight:No Touch - Empty Trailers for Equipment Shuttle Transfer Movement

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age

Responsibilities

• This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a commercial vehicle and requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records and logs Other tasks as assigned
