Job summary

Pico Propane and Fuels in Carlsbad, NM is seeking a full-time Fuel Transport Driver. You will load, transport, and deliver refined fuels using a tractor and tanker trailer, complying with DOT regulations and safety standards.

The role requires a Class A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements, DOT compliance, and the ability to obtain TWIC. Travel to delivery points and occasional flatbed hauling support are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Class A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements required.
• Must meet all DOT requirements.
• No more than 1 moving violation in the previous 2 years.
• 3+ years tractor and trailer experience in fuel distribution.
• 1+ years tanker experience within the last 5 years.
• Must be able to obtain Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC).

Responsibilities

• Load, transport, and unload refined fuel products using a tractor and tanker trailer.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections for hazmat transport.
• Maintain accurate logs: inspections, hours of service, bills of lading, miles driven.
• Gauge tank volumes and verify product types to prevent mis-delivery.
• Plan and execute varied delivery assignments while complying with regulations.
• Assist with hauling equipment on a flatbed trailer when needed.
