Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Hickory, NC seeks a CDL-A Delivery Driver to join a critical food distribution team. You will deliver and unload food products, maintain DOT-compliant safety practices and provide professional customer service.

Training supports transition to routes, with pay tied to cases, miles, stops, and dispatch fees. The role offers Day 1 health benefits, an employee stock purchase plan, 401K with matching, education assistance, PTO, and uniform/boot allowances, plus growth

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• CDL-A license and 6+ months commercial tractor trailer driving experience.
• Must be 21+ years of age and meet state licensing requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years and pass post-offer drug test.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure one; valid road test clearance.
• Ability to lift/move freight with equipment as required.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally.
• Performs safety checks and DOT-compliant inspections.
• Drives tractor trailer or straight truck to deliver and unload orders.
• Loads/unloads freight, verifies deliveries and obtains signatures.
• Maintains paperwork and hours of service records as required.
• Ensures equipment and freight are secured and routes followed.
