Job summary

Byer Steel is seeking a Truck Driver in Cincinnati, OH to handle deliveries and material pick-ups as directed by the Transportation Manager. The role requires a CDL Class A license, with at least two years' experience and flatbed expertise, plus the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform post-trip inspections.

Responsibilities include maintaining ELD logs, inspecting loads, ensuring safety, and completing all required paperwork. Overnight trips may be required, and PPE is mandatory.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A License is required.
• Two years of experience with Class A license required.
• Flatbed experience is required.
• Dump trailer and roll-off truck experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre-inspect equipment, document findings and notify manager for safe operation.
• Maintain an accurate ELD log for company and DOT records.
• Make deliveries and pick up material as directed by Transportation Manager.
• Inspect and secure loads and check axle weights before travel.
• Be available for overnight loads when needed.
• Complete paperwork for company and customers.
• Maintain safe driving practices and keep equipment clean.
• Post inspection of equipment and notify manager of defects.
