Job summary

Standard Logistics is seeking a professional truck driver to transport freight between terminals, load and unload goods, and ensure on-time delivery. You will perform safety inspections, secure cargo, and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with DOT regulations.

The role requires intrastate and interstate driving experience, a Class A CDL, and a clean driving record. You will operate modern equipment, plan efficient routes, and liaise with dispatch to meet delivery windows.

Qualifications

• Must have intrastate and interstate driving experience.
• Must pass pre-employment DOT drug and alcohol screen.
• Clean driving record.
• Class A CDL License for their state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Operate inter-city trucks to transport freight between terminals and home terminals.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Comply with DOT/OSHA/state/federal regulations and company rules.
• Load, unload, and secure freight using tarps, chains, or straps.
• Plan routes using GPS or other devices to minimize fuel use and delays.
• Maintain accurate bills of lading and logs; report delays or problems.
• Present a professional image to colleagues and customers at all times.
• Communicate with dispatcher for instructions and updates.
• Report defects, accidents or violations promptly.
