Qualifications

• Intrastate and Interstate Driving Experience Required
• Must pass a pre-employment DOT drug and alcohol screen
• Clean driving record
• Class A CDL License for their state of residence Required

Responsibilities

• Perform daily pre-trip inspections and post-trip inspections on vehicles to determine safe operating conditions prior to departure.
• Operate vehicles in compliance with DOT, OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations and company rules.
• Plan or adjust routes based on conditions using GPS or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption.
• Load and unload freight and verify bills of lading and manifest; ensure accuracy of load documents.
• Maintain Driver’s Record of Duty Status (log) in accordance with regulations.
• Secure equipment and freight for transport with tarps, chains, binders, and straps.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers about delays or problems and report issues promptly.
