Job summary

Groome Industrial Service Group is seeking Operators to join our team. The operator is responsible for maintaining and operating equipment between locations.

This is a 100% travel job; travel is provided in company vehicles. Groome emphasizes health and safety as a top priority and offers competitive wages ($24.00+ per hour) based on qualifications and CDL, plus benefits after onboarding and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience as a driver or hydro blast/vacuum truck operator.
• Minimum of two years of industrial field experience.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• CDL A or B endorsement; hazmat recommended but not required.
• TWIC card is a plus.
• Must pass background check, drug screen, and physical.
• High school diploma/GED.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability and willingness to travel and work any shift, including weekends.
• Must understand verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to read and write.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Move in and around confined, cluttered and uneven areas.

Responsibilities

• This is a 100% travel job; travel is provided in company vehicles.
• Ensure health and safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting safely at all times.
• Operate and maintain all equipment associated with the assigned service line; support additional service line equipment as needed.
• Perform hazard recognition awareness to remove all hazards from the workplace.
• Set up and perform the assigned job.
• DOT driver complies with all DOT regulations and record-keeping.
• Inspect company vehicles, equipment, and tools before and after returning to the yard; report deficiencies.
• Promote the company's business by conducting work assignments professionally and safely.
• Assist in project planning of jobs, including on-site inspections and procedures.
• Communicate the assigned job's status to division management and customer representatives.
• Assist in field maintenance on company vehicles, equipment, and tools daily.
• Hookup and breakdown of equipment using proper tools and procedures.
• Inspect equipment and work area before starting; correct deficiencies.
• Operate all company equipment when authorized and qualified; follow company rules.
• Clean up work area and maintain a safe, clean workplace.
