Qualdoc is hiring a CDL-A Field Equipment Operator for West Chicago, IL. This hands-on role involves transporting equipment, operating heavy machinery, and assisting with lifting and recovery tasks at job sites. Driving is just part of the job; you will respond to emergency callouts and perform tasks on-site.

Schedule features 40 hours guaranteed, significant overtime, and 24/7 on-call availability. Per diem, hotel pay, and layover pay may apply. Benefits are included.

Formación

• Valid Class A CDL with a good driving record.
• Experience in construction or heavy equipment operation.
• Ability to perform outdoor fieldwork and operate heavy equipment when qualified.
• Willingness to complete required safety training and qualification tests.
• Availability for emergency callouts 24/7, including weekends and holidays.

Responsabilidades

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and equipment.
• Drive tractor-trailers to and from job sites and verify loads and permits.
• Load, unload, stage, and secure equipment and materials.
• Operate heavy equipment (excavators, backhoes, cranes, grapple trucks, dump trucks) when qualified.
• Assist with lifting, equipment setup, and rigging.
• Use hydraulic tools, welding/cutting equipment, electrical tools, and hand tools as required.
• Monitor equipment condition and report complex repairs.
• Participate in safety briefings and site cleanup.
