Job summary

Qualdoc is seeking a CDL-A Field Equipment Operator in Kansas City, MO. The role involves transporting equipment, operating heavy machinery, and supporting field projects with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

Starting pay is $26.00/hour with higher compensation based on experience. Expect long weeks, substantial overtime, and 24/7 on-call availability for emergency assignments. Pre-employment drug screen and safety training are required.

Qualifications

• CDL-A license with a clean driving record and ability to operate heavy equipment.
• Experience with manual-transmission equipment preferred.
• Background in construction or field labor; strong safety awareness.
• Ability to perform basic mechanical tasks including oil changes.
• Willingness to work overtime and be available for weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Transport equipment and materials to job sites using a tractor-trailer.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and verify loads.
• Operate heavy equipment when qualified (excavators, backhoes, cranes, loaders, dump trucks).
• Assist with lifting, load transfers, and infrastructure repairs.
• Use rigging, hydraulic tools, and hand tools as required.
• Perform basic mechanical tasks and minor repairs.
• Monitor equipment condition and report defects.
• Attend safety briefings and follow DOT procedures.
• Load/unload and organize equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Maintain clean vehicles and work areas.
• Assist other field teams as needed.
