Job summary

The ideal candidate has a valid Class A CDL, a clean driving record, and the ability to perform basic math. The position involves travel, non-standard hours, and physical work, with responsibilities including loading/unloading and maintaining DOT paperwork.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Class A commercial driver's license and health card.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to meet DOT drug & alcohol requirements.
• Ability to perform basic math, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Able to read.
• Able to follow instructions.
• Able to present Schwartz Farms in a professional manner.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver/feed from the mill to various farm locations and maintain timely delivery.
• Promote safety and adhere to state and federal driving regulations and rules.
• Maintain accurate records, verify loads and follow the Animal Food Safety Plan documentation.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections; ensure cargo and equipment are secure.
• Load and unload bulk feed at delivery sites and clean spills as needed.
• Collaborate with the Feed Mill Manager and staff to implement best practices.
