Job summary

Perdue Foods is seeking a Feed Delivery Driver to load and deliver livestock feed to assigned customers, coordinating with dispatch to meet daily priorities. The role involves safe truck operations, pre-trip inspections, accurate loading, and maintaining detailed records.

It requires a Class A CDL and 2+ years of driving experience, preferably in feed delivery, with ability to work outdoors in various conditions.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent.
• Class A CDL license.
• 2+ years of CDL A driving, preferably delivering feed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of feed according to dispatcher scheduling.
• Perform a pre-trip truck inspection according to a DOT sheet, reporting deficiencies to proper fleet mechanics.
• Ensure the correct weight of feed is loaded into the truck and the correct weight is delivered to the farm locations.
• Accurately operate the boom to direct the feed into the holding bin, ensuring no spills and reporting spills or problems.
• Maintain records of fuel purchases, trip tickets, daily logs and time sheets.
• Climb the truck (15 ft) to direct loading and occasionally use a #5 sledgehammer to remove stuck feed.
• Perform other duties as required.
