Job summary

NIS EXPRESS is seeking candidates for its paid training program in Tupelo, MS. Trainees pair with a skilled mentor and gain real-world on-the-road experience before moving to solo routes.

The program features 4–6 weeks of paid training, a $300 orientation bonus, and eventual compensation of $0.56 per mile with typical weekly miles of 1,600–2,200.

Qualifications

• CDL-A from an accredited school (minimum 120 hours).
• No DUIs within the past 5 years.
• Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
• Must pass hair and urine drug screenings.
• Steady employment history with minimal gaps.

Responsibilities

• During training, mentors guide drivers through over-the-road routes, teaching safe driving, trip planning, and freight handling.
• By the time you transition to solo, you'll be confident and ready to handle your own routes.

Job description

Training Program

• 4-6 weeks of paid over-the-road training with an experienced mentor
• All training time is fully compensated
• $300 orientation bonus added to your first solo paycheck

Compensation After Training

• $0.56 per mile on all miles
• Average weekly pay: $1,300-$1,400, depending on mileage
• Typical weekly mileage: 1,600-2,200 miles
• 100% no-touch freight, approximately 50% drop & hook
• Consistent weekly miles of 1,600-2,200
• Home every 14 days with two full days off once you go solo
