Job summary

Liberty Tire Recycling is seeking a CDL A Drop & Hook Driver in Des Moines, IA. You will safely pick up, transport, and deliver tires using drop and hook operations, following DOT and company safety rules. Dispatch assigns routes; maintain documentation and interact professionally with customers.

The role requires 1 year of commercial driving, a valid CDL, and compliance with FMCSA standards, with a focus on safety and accuracy in all tasks.

Qualifications

• Must meet DOT and FMCSA regulations.
• Valid Class A CDL and DOT compliance.
• MVR acceptable per DOT standards.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• PTO or End Dump experience required.

Responsibilities

• Safely remove and transport tires from customer locations to facilities or disposal sites.
• Perform drop and hook trailer operations at customers and yards.
• Ensure loads are secured and compliant with safety requirements.
• Complete pre-/post-trip inspections and DVIRs; report issues promptly.
• Accurately maintain logs, bills of lading, and paperwork.
• Collect payments from cash customers when required per procedures.
• Maintain clean, safe, and operational equipment at all times.
• Navigate routes with maps, GPS, and dispatch instructions.
