Job summary

Southern Ag Carriers, Inc. is seeking regional CDL drivers to haul agribusiness products within a 500-mile radius of Jonesboro, AR. Choose between a Mon–Fri or Sun–Thu schedule with consistent freight and regular home time.

This role offers competitive weekly pay of $1,400–$1,600, with benefits and a path to steady routes. You’ll perform pre/post-trip inspections, plan routes, and maintain accurate logs while delivering reliable service across the Arkansas and Southeast regions.

Qualifications

• At least 23 years of age.
• At least 2 years of verifiable experience out the past 5 years driving commercial vehicle.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A).
• No driving under the influence in the last 7 years (DUI/DWI).
• Must pass Federal Department of Transportation Road Test.
• Must pass Federal Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Test.
• Must pass Federal Department of Transportation Physical Requirements.
• Must pass job assessment test ( functional capacity test).
• Must practice good personal hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy and tractor-trailer trucks to transport goods to various destinations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle systems and equipment.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules while complying with traffic regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries including mileage and fuel consumption.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery times.
• Comply with company policies and procedures and transportation regulations.
• Monitor vehicle condition and report maintenance needs promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service with professionalism and courtesy.

Job Description

This is a regional driving position operating primarily within a 500-mile radius of Jonesboro, AR.

Drivers can choose between a Monday–Friday or Sunday–Thursday work schedule.

Drivers can make $1400 - $1600 per week

The majority of freight originates in Jonesboro or the surrounding areas. Drivers will operate regional lanes throughout Arkansas and the Southeast.

This position is ideal for drivers looking for consistent regional freight, a predictable five-day workweek, and regular home time without being away from home for extended periods.

• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules while complying with all traffic regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any issues encountered during transport.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery times and address any delays or issues.
• Comply with company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal transportation regulations.
• Monitor vehicle condition and report any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service by demonstrating professionalism and courtesy at all times.
