Job summary

The Marzetti Company in Altoona, IA is seeking a Class A CDL driver to shuttle trailers and perform warehouse duties. This role is 75% driving and 25% warehouse work, starting and ending at the Altoona warehouse, with shift hours 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities include DOT-compliant pre-trip inspections, securing bills of lading, yard checks, equipment safety, and adherence to GMP and food safety standards. PTO and benefits eligibility begin after 30 days.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance.
• Team player with good time management.
• Organizational skills for loads and routing.
• Forklift experience preferred for warehouse tasks.
• Basic computer skills for logs and scans.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must maintain Class A CDL and DOT medical card.
• 2 years over-the-road experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A CDL vehicle with DOT compliance.
• Maintain fuel levels and perform pre-trip inspections.
• Process bills of lading and necessary documents.
• Drop and hook trailers and manage yard moves.
• Conduct warehouse duties and safety checks.
• Adhere to GMP and food safety requirements.
