Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. in Indianapolis is seeking a CDL A Driver – Vehicle Porter to join our Shop Team. This day shift role focuses on shuttle driving between our shop and customers, parts pickup/delivery, and delivering excellent customer service while maintaining a safe work environment.

Minimum HS diploma or GED with 3–5 years in related field, valid CDL A, ability to lift 75 lbs, and DOT/FMCSA compliance are required. Must be at least 21 and able to work on-site in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required with 3 years experience in related field or 5 years experience in related field.
• Ability to read/follow maps, routes and GPS systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and maneuver heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Shuttle commercial vehicles to repair or post-repairs between the maintenance shop and customers in the surrounding area; be home every evening.
• Pick up and deliver parts from local stores to the maintenance shop.
• Provide excellent customer service by going above and beyond customers’ expectations.
• Contribute to the Maintenance Shop goals and objectives.
• Maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
• Attend management meetings when requested.
• Other duties as assigned to meet business requirements.
