Job summary

Hanover Iron Works in York, PA seeks a CDL A Truck Driver to safely deliver structural steel across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region, with regular trips between York and Hanover facilities.

You will operate a Tractor Trailer with a Flatbed Trailer, secure loads, and perform pre-/post-trip inspections. A clean MVR, 5 years of driving experience, and DOT compliance are required; occasional overtime and travel may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A CDL and clean MVR.
• Demonstrated DOT safety procedures and load securement knowledge.
• Minimum 5 years commercial truck driving experience preferred.
• Ability to read/write/speak English fluently.
• Ability to work overtime and stay out of town as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate Tractor Trailer with a Flatbed Trailer (45', 48', 53', or Stretch), straight truck, or other vehicles to haul steel and equipment.
• Secure loads using chains, binders, and straps for stability during transport.
• Physically load/unload materials from trucks and shop floors using manual methods, forklifts, or cranes.
• Coordinate with shipping/receiving for daily deliveries and pickups.
• Plan routes and schedules to meet deadlines while following DOT regulations.
• Maintain Driver's Log, Safety Reports, and required documents.
