Job summary

Universal Supply Co., a division of US LBM Holdings, LLC, seeks a CDL Driver I to safely transport materials to job sites and other locations in New Jersey and neighboring states. The driver must maintain logs, comply with DOT hours-of-service rules, and deliver exemplary customer service.

Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, 1–2 years of CDL experience, and a Class A CDL license. Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, load securing, and occasional forklift

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years CDL experience preferred; lumber/building materials experience is a plus.
• Class A CDL license required.

Responsibilities

• Operates Class A commercial vehicles in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner.
• Delivers to active construction sites and completed build locations; may require city-based and inter-state travel.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections to ensure safety and compliance with federal regulations.
• Provides professional customer service and communicates effectively with clients and coworkers.
• Organizes and secures loads; verifies orders for accuracy before departure and upon delivery.
• Maintains DOT-compliant logs of driving hours, on‑duty time, and rest periods.
• Delivers and unloads materials safely and accurately; assists in loading/unloading returns for credit.
• Operates forklift equipment at job sites when required and keeps truck clean and organized.
