Job summary

Universal Supply Co., a Division of US LBM Holdings, LLC, is hiring a CDL Driver I to transport materials to job sites across New Jersey and neighboring states. The role requires safe driving, DOT compliance, and accurate load handling with attention to customer service at delivery points.

The successful candidate will hold a Class A or B license, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain DOT logs, and assist with loading, unloading, and inventory as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years CDL experience preferred.
• Experience transporting and handling lumber and building materials required.
• Class A CDL License required.

Responsibilities

• Operates Class A commercial vehicles in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner.
• Delivers to active construction sites and completed locations; may require city-based and inter-state travel.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections to ensure vehicle safety and regulatory compliance.
• Provides professional customer service at delivery points and relays messages from customers on site.
• Organizes and secures loads; verifies orders for accuracy before departure and on delivery.
• Delivers and unloads materials; assists in unloading returned materials for credit with proper documentation.
