McLane Company, Inc. is hiring CDL-A Delivery Drivers in Durham, NC. You will inspect tractors, deliver to customers, maintain logs per DOT, and ensure accurate bill of lading. This full-time role offers sign-on bonuses, day-one benefits, and opportunities for advancement within a large nationwide network.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid CDL‑A license.
• Minimum 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor‑trailer driving experience.
• Must meet MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• This role requires reading, writing, and understanding English to perform tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor‑trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off‑hour delivery.
• Drive tractor‑trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or PeopleNet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You’ll Bring As a CDL‑A Teammate

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL‑A).
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor‑trailer driving experience.
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job‑related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
