Job summary

American Driver's Memphis Regional Fleet offers a clear pay structure with mileage pay based on experience. Expect average weekly gross between $1,200 and $1,500 and a guaranteed minimum for shorter loads under 300 miles.

On the road, drivers enjoy 100% no-touch freight, about 1,800 miles weekly, and weekly home time for a 34‑hour reset, plus newer equipment and a $3,000 sign-on bonus paid in two installments.

Qualifications

• Must have valid US CDL-A license and driving record.
• At least 3 months tractor-trailer experience in last 36 months.
• Able to pass DOT drug test and physical.
• No DUI/DWI in past 10 years (5 years if before holding CDL-A).

Responsibilities

• Operate 40ft+ tractor-trailer on a variety of routes.
• Maintain safe driving and comply with hours of service.
• Deliver freight with no-touch or limited touch as specified.
• Assist in trainer program after 1 year with guaranteed pay during training.

Job description

Let's talk numbers first. Our Memphis Regional Fleet is built for drivers who want to see the math before they sign on.

What's In Your Check:

• Mileage pay based on your experience level
• Average weekly gross lands between $1,200 and $1,500
• Guaranteed minimum pay on shorter customer-to-customer loads under 300 miles, full CPM rate applies at 301+ miles
• $12.50 per hour detention after your first 2 hours (or higher where required by law)
• $100 per day for layover or breakdown (or higher where required by law)
• The Drive to Thrive bonus adds up to 3 CPM based on safety, mileage, and productivity, starting your first full month after hire (must be active OTR company driver at payout)
• $3,000 sign-on bonus, split into $1,500 at your 90-day mark and $1,500 at 6 months

On the Road:

• Weekly home time built in for your 34-hour reset
• Running about 1,800 miles per week, depending on HOS and freight availability
• 100% no-touch freight, split 50 to 60% drop and hook, 40 to 50% live unload
• Newer equipment: 2021+ Freightliner Cascadia and Kenworth tractors

Requirements:

• At least 21 years old
• Valid driver's license held in the US or territories for 12+ consecutive months
• Current Class A CDL from only one state
• 3+ months tractor-trailer (40ft+) experience in the last 36 months, or Extended Road Test eligible (6 months in last 5 years, or 12 months in last 10)
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years, no preventable CMV accidents in the last 5 years
• No more than 3 jobs in the last 12 months
• No DUI/DWI in the past 10 years (5 years if before holding CDL-A)
• Must pass hair follicle and urine drug test, plus DOT physical

Trainer Opportunity:

Drivers with a year of OTR experience and 30 days with the company can step into a trainer role, guaranteed $250 per week while training plus $0.05 CPM on miles over 1,875/week, with potential to earn $20,000 or more annually.
