Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Class A CDL Driver in the Phoenix area. You will deliver equipment to customers safely, on time, and with courteous service, as you represent the company locally and build customer relationships.

You will be home each night and have opportunities to advance within the world’s largest equipment rental provider. Responsibilities include dropping off and picking up equipment, operating trucks and trailers, maintaining logs, and upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years DOT regulated commercial driving experience
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures
• Diligent attention to safety

Responsibilities

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers
• Operate construction equipment, such as semi-trucks and trailers (low boys) per CDL-A
• Follow safety regulations including FMCSA rules
• Maintain driver logs and perform pre-trip inspections
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need
• Perform other duties as needed
