Job summary

United Rentals in Seattle is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to deliver equipment, serve customers, and act as a company ambassador. You’ll be home every night and contribute to safety and efficiency on every job. Prior DOT-regulated driving experience and strong customer service are essential.

In this role you will perform pre-trip inspections, logs, and help identify additional equipment needs for customers while adhering to safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Basic knowledge of construction equipment and safe driving procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers.
• Operate construction equipment, such as semi-trucks and trailers (low boys) in accordance with DOT CDL-A.
• Maintain driver's logs and complete pre-trip inspections.
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need.
• Operate boom trucks and cranes per manufacturer specifications.
• Adhere to all safety requirements including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
