Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to deliver equipment to customers safely, timely and courteously. You’ll be home every night and serve as a company ambassador while delivering exceptional customer service.

Requirements include a valid Class A CDL, a High School Diploma or GED, at least 2 years of DOT-regulated driving experience, and strong safety and communication skills. This is a growth-oriented role at a leading equipment rental provider.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Drop off and pick up equipment for customers.
• Operate construction equipment, such as semi-trucks and trailers (low boys) per CDL-A.
• Adhere to safety requirements and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Maintain driver’s logs and complete pre-trip inspections.
• Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
