Job summary

Welch Packaging Group in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a dedicated driver for 3rd shift, responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer or box truck to deliver products. Candidates must have a CDL A License and a High School Diploma or GED. This position offers competitive pay of up to $29/hour and a 4-day work week from 6pm - 4am.

6pm - 4am

4 DAY WORK WEEK!!

Up to $29 / hour!

SUMMARY

Responsible for safely and efficiently operating a tractor-trailer or box truck to deliver finished product to customers in accordance with state and federal laws.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Complies with Driver responsibilities as outlined in company DAART program and as required by DOT.
• Maintain vehicle in accordance to Elkhart Transportation management policy
• Operates vehicle in a safe and efficient manner complying with company policy and procedures, and applicable state and federal laws.
• Support on time delivery by transporting loads by established route to proper destination as efficient as possible while observing all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Inspect trailer loads to ensure proper loading processes and it is the correct load before leaving facility.
• Verify product count while truck is being loaded.
• Comply with obtaining correct acknowledgement or signature and date for bill of lading and necessary signatures and date; return properly completed documentation to Transportation Manager.
• Comply with performance measures

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
• CDL A License

Experience

• Prior experience driving in large vehicles, such as box truck or similar
• Demonstrated experience practicing safe driving practices
• Previous experience delivering and handling freight preferred
