Job summary

Blue Ridge Haulers in California is seeking CDL-A drivers for a home-daily night-shift position on an intermodal slip-seat account. Trucks operate out of the Long Beach area with yards in Bell Gardens, CA, delivering across five ramps and occasional up-north freight.

Expect nightly driving with 10-hour breaks, 5-day weeks with optional extra days, live load/unload and drop & hook freight. Benefits begin after 30 days, including health coverage and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A with at least 3 months of verifiable solo experience.
• 120 hour CDL school minimum.

Responsibilities

• Night shift, home daily on a 10 hour break.
• 5 day work week with optional extra days available.
• Runs across 5 ramps: Long Beach, Los Angeles, Commerce, City of Industry, and Bloomington.
• Up North runs included as part of the account: Ross preloads out of Shafter, CA and Walmart drops into Lebec, CA over the Grapevine.
• Drivers run their full 11 hour drive most days, occasionally the full 14 hour clock depending on freight demand.
• Live load, live unload, preload, and drop and hook freight.

Experienced intermodal drivers, here's a account that keeps you moving without keeping you on the road overnight. This is a slip seat account running containers on chassis out of Long Beach area yard, with trucks parked at Bell Gardens, CA yard.

Pay Breakdown

• $19.25 per hour plus $18.71 per stop
• Average weekly gross: $1,400 to $1,800
• Average weekly miles 1,100 to 1,400

The Work

• Night shift, home daily on a 10 hour break
