Job summary

The Yard Butler is seeking a dependable Class A CDL Driver / Heavy Equipment Transport Operator in Idaho Falls, ID. You will mobilize heavy equipment between job sites, hauling rock, gravel, dirt, and other materials, and safely loading, securing, transporting, and unloading equipment.

The role focuses on safe equipment transport, coordination with field crews, and maintaining trucks and trailers. A CDL, DOT medical card, and strong safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• DOT Medical Card required.
• Ability to safely operate trucks and trailers used to transport heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of proper load-securement procedures.
• Ability to perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Ability to understand and comply with DOT regulations and safety requirements.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to assist with field operations and other duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate trucks and trailers requiring a Class A CDL.
• Transport heavy equipment, machinery, attachments, materials, and supplies to and from job sites.
• Mobilize excavators, skid steers, loaders, and other equipment between locations.
• Haul rock, gravel, dirt, and landscape materials.
• Load, secure, and transport equipment and materials.
• Use chains, binders, and load-securement equipment properly.
• Inspect and maintain logs and transportation documentation.
• Follow DOT regulations and safety policies.
• Coordinate with project managers and field crews to meet timelines.
